Peter the Professional
 
WBro Peter Craven opened the Installation meeting of St George Mark Lodge 553 on the 10th October in his usual professional manner.

Peter welcomed WBro Alan Foster, the Provincial Grand Masters Representative for the evening in his usual warm and welcoming manner.
The main purpose of the evening was to install Bro. Michael Harry Southern, as Worshipful Master of the St George Mark Lodge 553.
The reflection of the Professionalism and warmth of the Installing Master  WBro Peter Craven shone throughout the ceremony. Although changes in some of roles in the Ceremony had to be made due to the illnesses of a couple of the Brethren. Brother Michael was installed in fine style.
Historically (approximately 50 years)  members of Hawarden Lodge 838 in the Province of North Wales, attend. Installation meetings. Again this year was no exception, the Fellowship of Freemasonry was plain to see.
The Address to Bro Michael was delivered by his friend P.A.P.G.M (Cheshire & North Wales) WBro Bob McMillan, VW Bro Eric Hughes presented the Worshipful Master with collarets completed with address, VW Bro Eric was kept busy as Chaplain and the address to the Wardens. The address to the Brethren was offered by W Bro Alan Foster the address to the Brethren was given by W Bro Dave Withey.
During the Festive Board the IPM W Bro mentioned the Worshipful Master is a Football Referee and the Vice President North West of the Boys Brigade.
As the evening came and Worshipful Master requested the Tylers toast, the Tyler "normally as a former Scout Leader I would take orders from a Boys Brigade person", but on this occasion".
 
At the Close of the evening the Worshipful Master thanked the Brethren for attending and invited them to attend the next meeting which will be Advancement.
